Yes cows can comminicate. In fact almost all animals can communicate in some form. However it is usually something simple like in cows communicating “I am here” or baby calf crying to its mother to let her know its hungry. I imagine they probably can give other signals such as a danger signal allowing them to all huddle up.

      Hi there,

Absolutely! Cows, like all other animals, communicate with each other through the use of body language, vocalization and scent/pheromones. Cattle are also known to have a social hierarchy, which means that certain cows are dominant or leaders. For example, cows may turn their entire body to the side as a sign of dominance, or if they get very aggressive, they may use pawing and frontal charge to show their strength. Finally, some cows are highly protective of their calves and will charge if they think their offspring is in danger. Hope this answers your question!
