• Question: How dd you find out that you like digging out extinked animals? and in would like to do that to and i also like animals

      Hi Jodie,
      First of all, I’m delighted you’d also like to do this kind of work, because it’s great fun!
      Like you, I also started off with an interest in animals in general. It was during my first year at university that I discovered people studied extinct animals preserved in rock as fossils. Then I started looking for fossils whenever I was near nice rocks. 🙂
      A great place to look for fossils is in Co. Clare in the Burren: almost every limestone rock there has some fun animals preserved! I can suggest some good books to read if you want to learn more! 🙂
