Hair is made of a tough protein called Keratin. Your nails (and rhino horns!) are made of the same substance. Shiny hair usually means healthy hair. To create healthy strong hair you have to feed your body with nutritious food. Protein, found in meat, eggs and beans are all a great source of protein. Eating plenty of protein will ensure your body can make strong hair. Once the hair is formed, it needs oils from your scalp to keep it shiny. Eating vitamin E and healthy fats helps produce these oils. Alternatively a good hair mask made of ingredients like coconut oil can make your hair lovely and shiny 🙂
