Land and marine animals are almost the same, except marine animals usually have a few adaptations to living it the sea. These ‘adaptations’ make living in the sea easier for the animals.
For example, mammals that live in the sea (like seals or walruses) have extra fur or an extra layer of fat, called blubber, to keep themselves warm. Many animals that live in the sea breathe through gills, like sharks and fish. This means that they can take oxygen out of water, and not have to come up for air. Fins are also an important body part as they help animals like fish and dolphins swim through the water.
