      Oh, that’s a really tough one! In Ireland, I think my favourite bird species is the Lapwing. They are beautiful birds that with green, white and orange feathers. You’ll often see them in big wet fields in winter where they feed on small insects and worms etc. They also have a really cool crest on their head – they look like little punk rockers! Also the calls they give when flying sound like weird computer noises you would expect to hear in an arcade! Be sure to Google them for a look!

      Outside of Ireland, one of my favourite species is the Yellow-billed Malkoha. These big, colourful birds are related to cuckoos. You can see a photo of one on my profile.
